Licenced and trained family day carer Educators provide childcare to small groups of children in the Educator’s own home.
The children may range in age from 0–12 years. This allows children from one family to be cared for together.
Family Day Care is a flexible childcare option which aims to meet the specific needs of your family.
It emphasises relationships, nurturing, learning and fun in a warm, safe and secure home environment. Interesting, fun activities and programs are tailored to meet your child’s individual needs.

About Educators
Our Educators are licenced by the State Government’s Child Care Licencing and Standards Unit and operate under the Child Care Services (Family Day Care) Regulations 2006 and the Child Care Services Act 2007.
Wanslea and our Educators participate in the National Child Care Accreditation Council’s quality assurance process.
Wanslea provides a high standard of support and training to Educators, and monitors the quality of care they provide.
Educators are over 21 years of age and experienced in the care of children. They:
➢ Have access to toy libraries and supported playgroups
➢ Are qualified in First Aid
➢ Have a National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check
➢ Have public liability insurance
➢ Hold a qualification in child care or are working towards one
Operating hours
Childcare is usually provided on week days during work hours. Care may also be available on public holidays, weekends, evenings and overnight. A range of care options is available.
