Family day care services

With smaller groups of up to seven children, educators can give your child dedicated attention and create activities that nurture their unique strengths and interests. These close relationships also make it easier for educators to identify where further development may be needed, so they can work with your family to encourage your child’s growth.

Unlike many other care options, family day care gives you and your child more opportunity to form a close, trusted relationship with one educator. By gaining your child’s trust, your educator can increase their motivation and engagement in learning, while also ensuring they feel secure, safe and supported.

Family day care is offered in the educator’s home, providing a relaxed, familiar and secure setting where your child can explore and learn. 

Our educators are experienced in creating safe, respectful relationships that build trust with the children in their care. All of our educators create their programming based on the Early Years Learning Framework or the My Time Our Place Framework for school aged children and operate in accordance with the Education and Care Services National Regulations 2012. They receive ongoing support and training opportunities from Wanslea so that they can always provide the highest quality care to your children.

Family day care is available on weekdays, public holidays, weekends, evenings and overnight to support your family. This means your child can receive consistent care in a familiar environment, even if your schedule changes.
