COPMI (Children of Parents with a Mental Illness)
This service provides individual counselling and group work for children of parents with a mental illness.
We provide information about the nature and impact of mental illness and talk through questions from children, as well as helping them to develop skills for coping with challenges.
We assist children and their families with safety planning and the development of support systems to help them through a crisis.
We work in the child’s home, at the child’s pace, and offer practical parenting assistance if required.
We also run recreational holiday programs that provide peer support for children.
We offer community education and collaborate with government and non-government agencies.
Contact us for more information or call us during business hours on (08) 9245 2441.
