Reunification Practice Development Day
On May 16, 2011 a reunification practitioner's forum was held in Perth, Western Australia. Staff, managers, researchers and policy makers working in family services came together to discuss and improve practice in reunifying children who have been removed from their families due to child protection concerns. Professor Marianne Berry from the Australian Centre for Child Protection was the keynote speaker and there were a number of other presentations from practitioners, foster carers and professionals with expertise in this field. Wanslea staff and management were involved in the planning and running of the day, along with colleagues from other non-government service providers and the Department for Child Protection. You can have a look at some of the presentations delivered on the day here.
