About you

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate individual who has sound knowledge of the My Time Our Place Framework with demonstrated skills in the development and implementation of activity programs for 5-12 year olds

 
The Role

  • Assist the Supervising Officer to develop, implement and evaluate programs that are based on the developmental needs and interests of the children, and encourage their input and participation
  • Ensure all interactions with children are positive and reflect the philosophy and policies of the service, Education and Care Services National Law (WA) Act 2012 and Regulations, including My Time Our Place Framework
  • Act as a facilitator of play and encourage children to try new experiences
  • Ensure the environment in which children learn and play is clean, hygienic and safe, and ensure children’s nutritional requirements are met
  • Liaise and interact with parents
  • Maintain a professional approach to work which reflects the service’s philosophy, policies and procedures, Education and Care Services National Law (WA) Act 2012 and Regulations
  • Ensure confidentiality in all aspects of centre operations
  • Assist the Supervisor to maintain the daily operations of the service

 

You will bring with you all the essential criteria ….

  • Experience and/or qualifications in working with Primary School aged children
  • Skills in the development and implementation of activity programs for 5-12 year olds
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work within the Education and Care Services Law (WA) Act 2012 and Regulations and the My Time Our Place Framework
  • Demonstrated understanding of ‘child safe’ environment
  • Current satisfactory National Police Clearance
  • Current Working with Children Card
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Current Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificate
