    We are looking for a people person who has the natural ability to lead through example while empowering and motivating the people around you. Open communication is a priority to you and through this you have the ability to quickly and easily build rapport through all forms of interaction be it face to face, phone and email.

     

    The Role

     

  • To provide support and leadership to our Out of Home Care teams throughout the Perth metropolitan and Great Southern areas of WA

  • To assure the delivery of quality casework to foster families

  • Participate in the development and training of staff and foster carers

  • Work occasionally outside of normal office hours, including being part of the after-hours on call roster

     

     

    You will bring with you all the essential criteria ….

     

  • Degree in Social Work or recognised equivalent

  • Eligibility for Membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers

  • Extensive experience in working with foster carers and children with child protection issues

  • High level of knowledge and understanding of family functioning, child development and parenting skills

  • Experience in the assessment of foster families

  • Experience in the supervision of staff and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team

  • Satisfactory current National Police Clearance
