About you

We are seeking a passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team that is dedicated to the provision of quality care for 0 - 5 years old.

The Role

  • Responsible for the planning, development and implementation of programs for children that are based on the Early Years Learning Framework
  • Provide a supportive, stimulating, educational, healthy, safe and welcoming environment
  • Provide pedagogical direction and leadership for Wanslea Early Years services in curriculum based learning and development, and translate it to the Early Years Learning Framework
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with families
  • Implement all Workplace Health and Safety policies and procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to the ECA Code of Ethics
  • Keep up to date with current developments in the early childhood field and Early Years Learning Framework
  • Contribute towards the operational plan

 

You will bring with you all the essential criteria ….

  • Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or approved early childhood qualification
  • Sound understanding of Education and Care Services National Law (WA) Act 2012 and Regulations and National Quality Framework
  • Proven ability to work in partnerships with families
  • A well-developed knowledge of stages of physical, emotional, cognitive, social and cultural development of children
  • A well-developed knowledge of activities and experiences appropriate for age groups and stages of development of children
  • Demonstrated understanding of ‘child safe’ environment
  • Current satisfactory National Police Clearance
  • Current Working with Children Card
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Current Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificate
