Wanslea has been selected as a Community Partner to deliver the Thrive service in the Wheatbelt and Goldfields regions.  Thrive is a new support program for public housing clients. You will need to have a holistic approach to enhance people’s lives by looking at the wider needs of the individual. It will have a stronger focus on early intervention, supporting people to identify and tackle problems before they become too great.

Thrive will support stable homes that provide a secure foundation for life by connecting people to social and economic support which will help grow inclusive and accessible communities
 

Family Support Worker– Thrive service

Wanslea is seeking a dedicated and skilled Family Support Worker to provide high quality support and help families in the Thrive service in the Goldfields region. This Family Support Worker is responsible for supporting and helping families maintain their tenancy as well as referring them to other programs while building informal support networks and connecting them to their community.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience working with vulnerable families and individuals.


Essential Criteria:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Community Services, Community Development, Early Childhood Education and/or equivalent experience working in this field
     
  • Current “C” class Motor Driver’s Licence and a roadworthy motor vehicle licensed at the Standard Rate
     
  • Current Working with Children Card
     
  • Satisfactory current National Police Clearance
