    The Role

 

  • This role is responsible for the day to day operations and contract management for Foster Care and Leaving Care

  • You will ensure the delivery of professional casework services to children, young people and families

  • Quality assurance of case notes, reports and data collection as required by the contract

  • Demonstrate leadership  in the implementation of the Out of Home care Practice Framework through the provision of specialist advice and supervision to members of the team

  • Maintain appropriate case load and work load ratios across the teams

  • Provide leadership in induction, orientation and mentoring of the new staff

  • Develop and manage an On Call roster system and participate in the on-call back up system

 

You will bring with you all the essential criteria ….

 

  • Degree in Social Work or equivalent

  • Extensive experience in working with Child Protection, foster families, children and young people who have experienced trauma

  • High level of knowledge and understanding of child development and family functioning

  • Experience in developing and monitoring budgets

  • Accurate and high level report writing skills

  • Ability to work as a member of and lead a successful multi-disciplinary team

  • Satisfactory current National Police Clearance

  • Current valid Driver’s Licence
